Melvin Clair McHenry served the U.S military through World War Two. He was deployed in the Pacific Theater and during his deployment his Squad of soldiers were ambushed by Japanese. During this ambush his squad leader was wounded and Melvin had to take matters into his own hands. Being very brave, he leaped into action and took down the Japanese while also escorting his squad to safety. His heroic actions were noticed when he later recieved a Purple Heart Medal for being wounded and a Silver Star Medal for "Galantry in Action". Also, he got out of the U.S Military as a Lieutanant Colonel.
